Requirements for CMV Drivers
- Class A CDL
- Clear MVR run within past 30 days
- Never failed drug test for previous employer
- Preferred auto transport experience (1-2 years verifiable)
- 2 years or 200K miles driving experience in CMV with CDL
- Must be familiar with new HOS rules
- Must be willing to operate 4 car rollback and or 6 car truck and trailer (visit www.rdautotransport.com to view pictures of trucks)
- Must have tow truck experience to operate rollback
- Must have a cell phone with service turned on
- Must be able to drive a 10 speed

All applicants will be required to complete at least 5 working days of training and one evaluation trip by a certified trainer before operating CMV alone. If R&D and/or applicant agree that he/she is not ready for dispatch, applicant must complete 5 additional working days of training with another evaluation trip to be eligible for dispatch.
Before operation of CMV or any safety sensitive duties R&D MUST receive:
- Results of pre-placement DOT regulated Drug Screen (UA only) could take 2-3 working days
- Clean MVR
- Copy of CDL / Social Security Card / Medical Card
- Completed application (listing previous ten years driving CMV with CDL)
Driver compensation
- Driver will be compensated for all training days on the Friday that driver becomes qualified to operate CMV and perform safety sensitive functions.
- Driver will be required to spend one full work day with driver trainer observing the daily routine of the business. Upon completion of training, driver will be compensated $80 for that day.
- All training days performing safety sensitive functions (other than completing paperwork) will be based on $80 per day training.
- All qualified company and owner operators are paid on the 1st and 16th of every month (Period 1 and Period 2). If either date falls on a weekend or non-working holiday checks will be available by 12:00 pm the following work day.
- All company and owner operators are paid from the previous pay period loads delivered. The driver will go 30 days from first day dispatched before receiving first check. We can provide minimal advances through this period.
- Drivers must have all delivery receipts, fuel trip sheets completed and logs completed to receive his settlement check.
- All drivers will start @ 25% of of the paid load. After 90 days a reevaluation COULD result in as much as a 2% increase with other increases based on performance.
- Other Driver pay increases are based on time with the company and performance.
